Automotive Service Advisors serve as the liaison between customers and service technicians. This role is a highly customer facing role and includes working with customers scheduling appointments, greeting customers upon arrival, providing service recommendations, cost estimates, documenting customer interactions and sales matters in excellent detail. This role is niche and in high demand as dealerships demand for customer repairs and maintenance continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Interaction: Greet customers upon arrival, listen to their concerns, and document vehicle issues for technicians.
  • Service Recommendations: Advise customers on necessary repairs and maintenance services based on vehicle diagnostics and customer needs.
  • Cost Estimation: Provide accurate estimates for repairs and services, ensuring customers understand the costs involved.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Manage the service schedule to optimize technician availability and minimize customer wait times.
  • Follow-Up: Check in with customers during and after service to ensure satisfaction and address any further concerns.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of services performed, customer interactions, and vehicle history.\
  • Commitment: This program is a 1-year training program earning a certification from the United States Department of Labor for Automotive Parts, Sales, and Service, helping launch your career in a vast industry. Apprentices must commit to meeting all educational requirements in addition to on-the-job work requirements to complete the program.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 or older to begin on the job training.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Some understanding (or are willing to learn) of automotive systems and repair processes to effectively communicate with customers and technicians.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and provide exceptional service.
  • Ability to explain complex technical issues in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Capability to assess customer concerns and recommend appropriate services or repairs.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple customer interactions and service requests simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
